The current board of directors are hoping to expand the board from 7 to 9 members. All positions will be up for election this year at our Annual Meeting, July 3, 2021 at 9:00AM at the Pine Lake Crossways Camp.

WE WANT YOU! We want representation from all around the lake. If you've even thought about this in the past and hesitated, do not hesitate any longer. This is your chance.
All candidates must be a paid member of our association for the 2021-22 year.

Al Betz
(Vice President) has been on Pine lake for 46 years as a summer resident and the last 31 years as a permanent resident. He was a part of the original board from the year 2000. He’s held the positions of board president for 6 years, secretary for 2 and vice-president for 12 years. he and his wife Judy have 4 children and 8 grandchildren .
Jean Medway
(President) has served on the board as president, for the past 18 years. She and her husband purchased their Pine Lake property in 1984 but his family goes back many additional years as property owners on the lake. She has two adult daughters who have spent all of their life enjoying Pine Lake. Although she still owns a home in Wauwatosa, she spends most of her time living at the lake since retiring from teaching biology for 37 years. Jean has served on several other organizations governing boards, but has the greatest interest in serving the members of the Pine Lake Property Owners Association.
Ginnie Detloff
(candidate) volunteered this year to take over the duties of the NOMO challenge. She and her husband Joe purchased their cottage in 1997. They spent all of their summers here with their 3 children. A few years ago, after a few renovations, they made PL their year round home. Their 3 children and 2 grandchildren visit often. PL has been the best place to call home!
John Hedstrom
(Treasurer) has served as treasurer for the past six years. He is a retired school administrator and college professor. He and his wife Christine have four children and four grandchildren. Chris’ family has been on Pine Lake since 1968. They spend time at their “Stuga” each month throughout the year.
Sarah Kirchhoff
has been an avid Pine Lake enthusiast since her parents, Gretchen and Bill Rieser, bought their cottage when she was just 4 years old. She is now super excited to have bought a cottage on the lake with her husband Tom. Whether she is in a kayak, a beach chair or inside her cottage Pine Lake is her favorite view. For her 2 children, Meg and Nell, Pine Lake has always been about reconnecting with friends and family. Hiking, card games, gardening and nature crafting are a few of her hobbies as well as riding her 1960’s green Schwinn up and down the dirt road.
Fred Koch
(Member at large) has been at the center of the fight against Eurasian Watermilfoil (EWM) in Pine Lake since it was first detected. His wife Jan has been coming up here for her entire life. Fred considers himself the newcomer as he has “only” been coming to the lake since 1973. Fred and Jan are both retired and living their dream on the lake full time. Jan works part time at the Veterans Home in King as a Member Services Associate.
Jeff Price
(Member at large) Jeff and his family (Anne, Evan and Katherine) have been on Pine Lake for sixteen years. Jeff is a professor of business at Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL. He has worked in marketing at Kraft Foods, was a Vice President at Frankel Co., a large promotion agency, and worked as a marketing/strategy consultant. At their home in Riverwoods, IL, Jeff was President of the Woodland Lane Association, a fifty-seven home neighborhood group, and served on that board for eight years. Jeff and Rosie (his golden retriever) visit hospice patients, retirement homes, and a mental health facility every week. He is active in his church, and plays piano and guitar in the worship band. On the current challenges the lake is facing, he supports milfoil removal/containment, but is pro-wake now that the lake level is down. He urges, "mark the weed and let them speed"--marking the milfoil areas to keep boats away, but allowing boaters to use the lake the way they have for decades.
Sharon Rossebo
(Secretary) has been PLPOA Secretary for 12 years, and she has also been organizing the lake picnic for many years. Richard and Sharon and their family have been coming to Pine Lake since 1960. They moved here from Cedarburg when they retired in 2005 and love lake living. They have four grown sons and eight grandchildren who enjoy going to Scoopers and say Pine Lake and the cottage is their favorite place on earth.
Julie Verhaalen
(Member at large) has been handling PLPOA’s web-site and newsletter compilation and layout since fall 2019. She has also helped out with mailings and surveys. In her real life she does technical writing and marketing for Konecranes in Milwaukee. She believes communication can break down barriers and is key when dealing with people of differing opinions. Married to Tracy she has 2 adult children and a grand-daughter, Ava. She has been coming to Pine Lake with her family and extended family since 1968. She says it’s the best place in the world to be.
